Simon Kaye from Melbourne Australia began writing songs at the tender age of five.
As a child, he was constantly humming melodies and singing lyrics - it was an innate talent. Inevitably in the years to follow Simon formed a band and released an album which was very well received in the Australian music press. His songwriting was described as 'accomplished, adorable and bittersweet' and 'catchy, impressive melodic pop'. With airplay on independent and mainstream radio, Simon won a national radio songwriting contest, critics noting that he 'has a real knack for writing a three-minute pop song'. More recently Simon has focused his energy on writing and producing his own songs in a home recording studio, utilising a variety of instruments and digital equipment. Here he dedicates his time to creating what would be described as melodic indie pop songs. Oh, and you will still find Simon constantly humming melodies and singing lyrics...some things never change
